KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid!
The basic idea behind this is simple: maximize the amount of things you can accomplish while minimizing the amount of things you need to accomplish them. This principle is very reminiscent of the phrases "Divide and Conquer" and "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime".
Here are a few reasons to Keep It Simple (Stupid!).
1. Because many things can be arranged into groups, especially ideas. By relating two ideas or two problems, if you already solved one problem, you'll know how to solve the second problem.
2. Because the founding idea of logika is not to give people a long, long description of how they should live their lives, but rather to give them logical tools so they can figure it out for themselves. By making these tools cover as many things as possible, you decrease the total number of tools requiered, thereby making things a lot simpler for everyone.
3. Because games with lots of long, complicated rules suck. Because laws are basically the rules that govern your life. Therefore, life with a bunch of long, complicated laws sucks as well.
4. Because KISSING is fun.
5. Because by lowering the number of ideas, principles, rules, laws (etc...), you also lower the number of wrong ideas, principles, rules... Also, if you use KISS, you will reduce the number of things you need to know and do, which is very, very useful.
But most importantly, because keeping things simple makes things easier, no matter what you're doing. The easier things are, the less likely you are to make a mistake. Mind you, laws are only the things that govern your life, so I guess it's not that bad if a couple of mistakes are made here and there...
